After finishing the Daemon Prince I wanted to get down to the nitty-gritty of army-building. That said I bought myself 3 blisters of Plaguebearers. Six of them are finished, and three are in progress.

The claw-thing has to be explained. My wife and I went for a walk on a beautiful spring day in april, and happened to take a short walk on the beach a short way from town. We noticed there were quite a few dead crabs that had washed up on to the beach. After a few minutes I had the (quite strange, I admit) idea to collect a few and use them for conversions. A few hours later... Plaguebearers with claws. I know it isnīt the typical Nurgly-look, but I couldnīt care less :-) I like it!

The next big thing Iīm working on is a Nurgle Lord on steed. I used the Archaon model as a base for this conversion. At first I only wanted to change his cape and his head.

But after some thinking I decided to add armour to the horse. Now, this was quite tricky considering I havenīt made any armour before. But it turned out ok in the end (IMO at least) Not perfect, of course, but not bad. My favourite part is the horseīs head. The horns were a kind of an accident. I was thinking how the hell to do some detail on the horns, tried to twist the Green Stuff, and after some trial-and-error I had some decent looking horns.
I have to admit that much of what I do, and turns out to be good, is like this. Just an accident :-)

You know how it is when youīre converting and sculpting, thereīs always some Green Stuff left over. I decided to try to put it to use. Whenever I had a blob of GS I just made some sort of a fat sausage-shape, and then little by little made myself a few Nurglings.

My favourite is the one that is picking his nose. The other oneīs arenīt great, but not bad for an complete amateur (and the fact that I only spent about 20-30 minutes on them!) But in retrospect I donīt think Iīll use these guys for my Nurgling bases, they are a bit too comic-like. They wonīt fit in with the rest of the army. But the nose-picking one is going to be my mascot. My lucky one, so to speak :-)
